LPGas supply are done using various sizes of road bulk tankers. These deliver gas into Steel storage vessels that are installed at customers premises , either above or underground.

The sizing of these storage varies according to the demand and the distance from the depot. Usually 1 month on-site storage are sufficient. All these bulk installations are assessed for potential risk to the premises, and therefore GPS have taken a responsible view to ensure that all our sites are fitted with underground bulk storage vessels.

Added to this , we proposed the fitting of level transmitters to keep the user , property managers and gas suppliers informed on a daily basis of the gas levels. This will ensure that we do not run these site dry.

There are strict legal requirements and SANS standards that ensure that these installation are safe during its lifetime. All these installation are submitted to the Fire departments for their approval and to make them aware of these tanks underground.

Fire water will always be available close to these tanks and fire extinguishers fitted to the walls and fences close to the area.
